A mother hid the decomposing body of her five-year-old daughter in a closet after the girl died from drinking toilet cleaner, police said.

Torres said she spent the weekend taking care of Sierra, afraid that Child Protective Services would take the girl away if she took her to a hospital.
She continued to claim that Sierra died on August 27 after being unable to eat or stand on her own for days. Torres said she then wrapped her daughter in a blanket and hid her in the closet because she did not want to let her go, Fox 26 reported.
Authorities have not released Sierras cause of death or confirmed Torres version of events.
